ok lets try to recover your data first.
1. go to control pannel and then to administration tools and then to
computer manager then disk manager.
2. if u press tab ull get a list of partitions and at the end of the
partition there will be a drive letter just find a partition with no
drive letter the size should be around 180 to 200 gb press
applications key and select assign drive letter dont assign drive
letter a.
if u can find it and if u assign your drive letter then your data is back.
if u cant find it then oh no we cant recover your data atlist not all
of your data.
2. making your drive usable.
if your data was not found then dont worry in step i will show u how
to recover atlist some of it.
now lets make your drive usable.
1. warning remove any external storage devices from your pc only attch
your external hard drive on which u are having problem.
2. now your pc should have only 2 drives.
3. now go to start and open command prompt as a administrator.
4. now type this commands 1 after the another and press enter after
each ill explain what the commands do.
diskpart
list disk
select disk number
clean
create partition primary

commands explained.
diskpart.
command to start the diskpart.exe
list disk
lists disk in disk part windo now u need to hear the disk number and
disk size carefully selecting the wrong disk may fully screw up your
system
select disk
now depending on what number the disk part gives u for your external
disk when u type list disk mostly the disk on which your windows is is
disk 0 so dont select disk 0 mostly its disk 1 or disk 2 depending on
if your pc has a memmory card reader.
it will also tell u the size so u will come to know which number is
your external disk is.
clean.
this command clears the partition tables, mbr and any data which
exists on your drive but dont worry we can still recover your data
even after that.
create partition primary creats a primeary raw partition on your hard drive

after it says cleaning successfull.
close the command windo all opperations with the command prompt is done.
now open the disk manager refer to step 1 on how to do that.
then press tab and u will find a list of partitions and there should
be 1 unnamed partition of size around 232 gb.
press applications key and do this in order.
1. select format drive.
2. keep file system as ntfs note if any1 is trying this with a
pendrive of 4gb or smaller the file system should be fat32.
3. set any name and do a quick format.
4. now click close on the format dialog.
5. again press applications key and select assign  drive letter and
click on change and assign anything but not a and thats it your drive
is usable again.

3. now lets try to recover your data.
1. download requva its free.
2. install it and connect your external drive.
3. open requva and click next then tell it to surch on a spacific
location and browse to the root of your external drive.
4. select show all files.
5. on the next screen u can check the box that says enable deap scan.
6. now this will take a long time may be 2 to 3 hours.
7. now it will give u a list of files that it has found.
8. on your d drive or e drive make a folder called recovered.
9. select all files by pressing applications and select select all.
10 now save the files in the recovered folder.
11. warning dont save any recovered files to external drive.
12. now after it saved it will give u a last screen in which it tells
u fully recovered somany files and parchally recovered somany files.
13. now you can copy the files on your external drive and enjoy!
