Good post, Avinash. These days while navigating independently with my white cane, many people come forward to help me. Though there are certain instances where I don't like taking help(because I feel I don't need), I'm not totally confident of refusing their help as I'm not sure of a convenient navigation till desired destination. For example, I was coming out of a bus stand following a foot path where someone offered to help me. I gently told I was okay being independent but just a few steps ahead the foot path and the road adjacent were digged for some purpose where I had to take someone's help for navigation. As a result, it becomes an obligation on me to take others' help whether I like it or not.
