I am trying to link Access with CAMS. (I have the data on a
separate computer and will use restore from time to time so I am
never working with my actual data).
I printed the FCSI instructions out and in front of me. I have
followed them to the letter. I am on "Establishing a Database
link". In Access I created a new database file (called dbCAMS), and
go to FILE, GET EXTERNAL DATA, and THEN LINK TABLES. I change the
FILE TYPE to ODBC DATABASES(), and the screen disappears. That is
it, nothing more.
Any advice? Did I miss something? I even figured maybe I have a
slow computer and left it for a awhile (30+ mins), and still
nothing. I inserted the V5 CD and went to the MASD version and
installed it, although I new I was up to date. Still nothing.
dbCAMS is up-to-date
Access is 2003office with Word, Excel and all that
Windows XP and it is up-to-date
Thank you in advance for any advice.
Michael
