I'm new here and I have a question concerning using the Access 2000 VB
help files; is there a way to get useful help from this thing? When I
use the help index tab and, for instance, enter "openrecordset" I get a
list of topics that doesn't seem to be in any order at all, most of
which don't do anything when clicked-on (14 out of 18 for
openrecordset). If I ask for just "recordset," I get a list that may
have more than 100 items, is there a way to organize this mess? Can it
be sorted or something? And, why do so many not do anything? Did I
miss something when I installed? I want back and installed all the
help files I could find and still most of the items on the "Methods
Reference" help page don't get anything except "Selection is not
associated with any topics. Please try another section."
I feel like I've accessed another version of the "Blue Screen of
Death." Might as well go back to a PDP-8 with doughnuts for memory.
Thanks for any help.
