We FINALLY have an update on this discussion... And I need to ask one more 
question to confirm my hunches... If the answer is what I think it is, then we 
have a solution... if not, it will lead to a solution... 

When a link spec is initially setup and saved for a link table, where are the 
specs stored???... Don't want to ask more than this in order to keep from 
tainting the answers....
