I notion that second <grin>. I think the stats are a valuable resource, and
should be kept on ACCMAIL.

Jose,
You will find that these statistics are very useful if you use the
FTP by email and Agora email services, as published in Dr Bob's FAQ.
However, their use may be limited if you don't make use of such services.

I quote from the _daily_ posting:

Want this list every day? Send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and in the
body of your message put "join statistics" (no quotes)

That meet your requirement?

As I've said before, I quite agree, do use it. But leave the option open
to those who do not wish to involuntarily receive this info every day... I
keep my own 'mini-archive' of interesting posts, and don't like the task of
editing this stuff daily.

Goes to show, you just can't help folks who can't help themselves! Even if
you beat 'em over the head with it.

>Please try and keep it!

... on the statistics list please.

I get ACCMAIL digests once a day. All the day's posted messages are
included. One person has posted to the list that he has not received any
digests since 1999 began. Half a dozen people have responded (including
one person who took well over 50 lines to "second the motion") concerning
the accmail stats generated by Steve Harris.
I don't get the point. I can't reasonably infer that the stats are the
one single thing not being sent to him since the year began. And I bet
the person who doesn't get the digests, and therefore can't follow the
discussion, is likewise missing the point of discussing stats instead of
digests.

Hi guys,
I am interested in finding out if there is an FTP site where I can
specifically find and download Windows 95 patch files, updates and bug
fixes. I prefer an FTP site since I do not have Internet access and I use
ftpmail servers.

Thanks in advance,

hi enerteam and every body,

I hope that I can help you to organize your incoming mail :

1) go to Tools menu - select inbox assistance.
2) in the appeared window - click add.
3) specify some rules for the messages that can you want to specially deal
with them :
for example :
write in the From box the e-mail of the mailing list.
4) in the perform action part choose Move To.
5) select the desired folder you wish messages with specified rules to
arrive to.
you can create new folders by sellecting New Folder
6) press ok when finished.
now you can view your ruled messages from the selected folder.
I wish that I helped you, thank you.

Easy, just guess. Most POP servers are called POP.[host domain]
After you guess you can easily check with nslookup.

Examples:
gboyd>nslookup pop.hotmail.com
Server: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1

Name: wya-www.hotmail.com
Address: 207.82.250.251
Aliases: pop.hotmail.com

gboyd>nslookup pop.yahoo.com
Server: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1

Name: mailhost.yahoo.com
Address: 205.216.162.34
Aliases: pop.yahoo.com

gboyd>nslookup pop.usa.net
Server: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1

Name: postoffice.usa.net
Address: 192.156.196.5
Aliases: pop.usa.net

ML.org was never down...MAILBOT.ml.org was for a few days (also known as
darkcity.ml.org and boas.anthro.mankato.msus.edu). It's back up now
though.

Using hotmail's pop server gives you like a 60 day trial -- after that
Hotmail e-mails you asking that you return to the web interface or pay
for POP access. That was before MS bought out Hotmail, so I don't know
if that still applies. That was about 1 1/2 years ago.
