 Hi,
After years of research we have found only one interesting intranet chat named T42 (
http://www.klever.net/kin ),
It's a good program but now old (1997)... Can anyone suggest a better one ?

 regards

Trying to fetch a newer version of Accmail FAQ in Romanian, I received this:

Requesting MIME encoding surely should not result in automatic ASCII Mode?
Does that mean I cannot specify MIME for other than ASCII files?

Something wrong there. The ftpmail server should do the uuencoding _after_
retrieving the file, with it's original size, from the ftp server. I was
not talking of the uuencoded file, but the size of the file *retrieved* from
the FTP server, and correspondingly, the size of the *decoded* executable.
Surely the decoded file size should be identical to the size in bytes from
the dir listing? It isn't as if I'm doing this for the first time!

I'm well aware of that.

I wasn't attempting to execute it in DOS mode: Double-clicking the
executable file from Windows explorer launched a DOS box with the error
message.

Some clue to the whole thing there??

I have heard good reports of the interface and capabilities of this
anti-virus program from CA; perhaps someone on the list interested in this
program could duplicate my effort and let me know?

FYI, the mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] was:

Yes...

If you had read the Accmail FAQ you would see:
* SENDING A FAX BY EMAIL

faxing services. Send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with no subject and
"help" in the body. For a list of country phone numbers served by this

You can also get the FAX FAQ via electronic mail. Send email to

Hi, Azuaje

To retrieve such files I use either www4mail or agora.

Using www4mail:
---------------
To retrieve the original, UNMODIFIED HTML sources as an e-mail
attachment you need send command TSOURCE <URL>.

 > Of course I changed the page encoding but it did not help.
After extracting file, you need to edit it (a little). Find line that
looks like
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1251">
and to comment it (or delete). As a result you will be able to change
page encoding.

If it's not work, I recommend you to use program named SHTIRLITZ
from Vsevolod Lukjanin. It's freeware. You may find this program on the
one of CDs supplied with CHIP magazine. (I don't remember what issue in.)
If you will not found it, write me personally and I send it to you.
Size is about 500K.

Using agora:
------------
Send command BSOURCE <URL>
Agora send to you uuencoded file named AGORA.BIN. Just extract it and
rename to needed name. That's all. File ready to use.

If now someone sets up on a org domain an adress that simply forwards
everything to getweb, what would happen?? Just a theoretical approach? :)=
