Subject: Download Slave
Hello Accmailers,
Whenever I send a URL to download slave it sends me two
messages. One that contains no data and the other contains the actual
file. Eventhough the files are of a few KB my email program <pine>
displays the messages as few MB files. The blank message is also shown as
a message of few KB. Has anybody experienced this? If yes, then is there
any problem with download slave?
Thanks in advance.

Gopal

Hello,
Is there a tar/tgz/gz extractor for Windows 95/98?
Throw in a tar reader too.

You're right, Jerry, I've been too hasty thinking it was about the Fcc folder in E-mail
headers.
I'm not familiar with Fcc id at all, so I didn't even think of a possible confusion
until
now.

I got that particular error myself last time I used it, but it worked
perfectly after I resent my request an hour later. Appears to just be a
temporary problem.

Onelist hosts many Foreign langauge mailing lists.
Send the following message to a www4mail server.
To: www4mail (use your favorite)
Subject: [leave blank]
Body of message:
GET http://www.onelist.com/searchlist.cgi?searchval=arabic
Replace the word "arabic" by a subject of your own choice.
Note: If you use a subject word in your language you might have even
better results.
I quick check via the web pages showed quite a few of them...
Liszt by email also works, it turned up 9 mailing lists

You're lucky. I always get 3 messages, One telling me in Geman about
the logon web page, one indicating the file was sent and statistics
about my usage, and the third one is the file attachment of the
requested file.

No can do. You can get a web page, the web page graphics or some
combination there of. No way to get the whole site in a zipped format.
Only method I know of that allows you to do this is with a Win95/98/NT
program called SiteSnagger -- which is pretty slick. Good for those of
you that are trainers and wish to have a web site as an example but are
not online. The program allows you to download as much of a site as you
want. However, it doesn't zip the results.

To access your Yahoo mail, just go to http://mail.yahoo.com/
or set up your email program with the POP settings below:
---Incoming Mail (POP3) Server:
pop.mail.yahoo.com
---Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server:
There is no Yahoo! Mail SMTP server. You'll need to set this to your
Internet Provider's outgoing mail server.
