Subject: decoding
Gidday all,
Recently I downloaded a graphic (cover of a linux journal) xxxxx.gif. So I knew
it was a gif file :-). I asked for it to be uuencoded as per instructions in
the www4mail help file. I received the file.
I opened it in a text processer (unfortunately I have since trashed it)
and it said something like
--snip
subject: xxxx UUENCODED
blah blah BASE64 blah blah (I think)
<data>
end
I downloaded UULITE 2.0 for the Mac and ran it on this file.
It produced a file XXXX.gif.htm in Microsoft word format which couldn't be read.
I am stumped. I feel like I need more information about decoding etc.
Where can I get more info (without doing tedious searches) is there a definitive
site?
Do I need a BASE64 decoder then UUDECODE it?
p.s. I did try viewing it at each stage.
Thanks in advance.
Chris.

Subject: How can I combine a PDF file?
I just received a file from a ftpmail server. The file
had been spit to two parts and I couldnot combine them to
one readable file.
Is there any one can tell me how to combine them?

Subject: Access to Internet without Modems & Cords & Dial-Up
This is a new system developed our city. Hope this will be of some help
and
information to Accmail Users. Sorry if it is offtopic.
Professor Ashok Jhunjhunwala of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras,
has developed a wireless system to access the Internet. The system is
cheaper and faster and bypasses the regular telephone networks.
Networks, that will become exasperatingly clogged with the increase in the
number of Internet connections.
More importantly, Jhunjhunwala's system does not require a modem for
accessing the Internet! Besides, the surfer gets a telephone free
to talk on while being logged on.
For more information kindly logon to the following site.

Hi Fabian
I fully agree with your following view :
"Now to come to the point, could one of you guys fix up a time or day
when we should email the admins of the servers going down...in this case
lizter :) Next, I feel that we must email them and FIRST of all THANK
these guys
for providing the service to us :) "
Please Geri, or someone fix up a date on which all of us can mail Lizter
and express our gratitude for providing access servers.
Next thing, I want to know whether only the servers listed in the FTP Mail,
Agora statistics provide web access thro' mail ? Why cannot other
commercial servers too allow remailing of their own web pages on request ?
I do not mind some lines of ads too at the end of the pages mailed. This
can permanently give us access via e-mail and also stop the death of
servers around the world.
Any comments ?? Is it possible.
Azeem.

This is the second note I received from MyDeja about adding an email
signup for the MyDeja Usenet Service. This would allow non web-users to
signup to a Usenet Newsgroup that that can receive by email.

This combines part one with part two into a new pdf file called "new"

The web page is redirected to generate a cookie script that ends up
looking something like this for the URL of the signin page:
http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?.src=ym&.lg=us&.done=http://edit.yah
oo.com/config/mail%3f.intl=&.intl=&.rand=cmct067kuhvv3
