TIA... In the SERVICES directory/folder there are *.SVC and 3 other files. AGORA.DAT , HTTP.SVR , & FTP.SVR The file that you should change is HTTP.SVR . You may want to change it to your favourite WWW4MAIL server or whatever. -- William Andrews [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Runway/3091/ Reduce-Reuse-Recycle ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 3 Oct 1999 11:43:44 +0100 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: FTPMail, Agora, etc. statistics FTPMail, Agora, etc. statistics for Sat 2 Oct 1999, posted Sun, 03 Oct 1999 10:42:53 GMT Less than 1 hour [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] 1-4 hours [EMAIL PROTECTED] 4-10 hours None More than 10 hours [EMAIL PROTECTED] Response within 4 hours in at least 5 out of 7 recent tests [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Note: [EMAIL PROTECTED] doesn't reply to .net or .com addresses. Arjomandi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: getting only few parts from bitftp Dears, Is there any way to get a defined number of parts from [EMAIL PROTECTED] ? I requested a large file, and bitftp returned it to me in about 70 parts, 60kB each. But in some cases, it may exceed my mailbox limit. So, if I can tell it to send me only 10*60kB each time, I'll be satisfied. This is the content of my http.svr file [EMAIL PROTECTED] bin [EMAIL PROTECTED] source because I like retrieves in "source" form. Is there a server offering this service? TIA... > >Stewed > I had not tried this functionality you are referring to till I saw your message now ! - but it is nice to learn something new. Interbot's Help refers to this option you refer to, as the "AutoLink". To see if the modification you seek could be made, I looked at the files coming with Interbot. (and mine also is V1.02). In the "SERVICES" sub folder (which is under the main folder "INTERBOT"), I see almost all files are of type ".svc" (in mine they are those which came with the original download as well as those I fetched through Uncwilly's page and added). Those .svc files are for the services. But there are two files with ".svr" extension. They are "http.svr" and "ftp.svr"; and like the .svc files, these .svr files can also be edited on any Text editor ( - say Notepad). It appears that, it is the "http.svr" file which need a simple modification. The content of the "http.svr" file in mine, consisted of the following 4 lines : >>>>>>>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] get -uu [EMAIL PROTECTED] send <<<<<<<<<< In the 3rd line, I changed the "info.lanic.utexas.edu" after the "agora@" part to "xxxx.yyy", and saved that file; then with my mail agent ( - Eudora Pro) in the background, I copied a http URL into clipboard and then launched Interbot and sure enough it generated the e-mail to the changed address : [EMAIL PROTECTED] So you can change that 3rd line in the "http.svr" file to any currently active agora server and it should work. I have not figured out yet what the first two lines in the above file are meant for - may be to get an URL as an uu encoded file via <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, which is, AFAIK, long defunct !
