I don't know about solaris, but in many versions of Unix there is a
command called "split". Type:
man split
to see the usage manual for the "split" command.

Subject: Download Slave - English Translation

Eversince I discovered Downloadslave I have been been using it for
downloading regular things, like antivirus updates, etc. Now I have the
latest version of URL requester. My only problem has been that I cannot
understand the german language. So if there is an error message, for
instance, then I cannot understand it. I am sure I could handle some of the
failed downloads simply by understanding why it went wrong. How can I get
English help on Downloadslave...?

Dear Raza:

One of the simplest ways is to obtain a Web-based machine translation of the
German language text.
Two free services that do this are at:

     http://www.freetranslation.com/
     http://babelfish.altavista.com/

Both services use a fast, and easy to navigate, Web-based interface in which
you receive a rough, machine-like translation of the original text in either
the German, Spanish, French, Italian, or Portuguese languages - or vice
versa.
You simply have to type in the text or URL of the original text.
I'm fairly sure that will satisfy your translation needs.
The best of luck to you.

                                       Sincerely,
