Ricardo Tarditti" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Info about mailservers Hello: some time ago I read a message where someone suggest a "ranking" for the mailservers insted the FTPMail, Agora, etc. statistics. I think that can be better a "profile of use"= # of request vs time of day. Of course, with a "standard" time, no matter where the server is. So we can choose the least busy. I hope you understand my english. To Gerry: feel free to make any corrections!(and delete this) Ricardo Agustn Tarditti Crisol 125 - B Nva. Cba. Thanx and have a nice day. It is just a matter of setting up a user access control file and placing the e-mail addresses of all allowed users (or mail domain) in that file. Using the above facility it is easy to set up a private www4mail server that will not accept/reply any request if the sender's e-mail address is not listed. Similarly, it is also possible to blacklist a particular e-mail address, after which www4mail will not accept/reply any request sent by a user whose e-mail address is listed in the blacklisted file. So you can have a free page (CGI script) that user's can use to send thier request to a www4mail server. www4mail will check the source e-mail address and respond accordingly.. Thanks Clement Onime > It is a interesting idea,is it possible to do that in a free page? > I think it need a higher privilege to configure the www4mail or agora, > but in a free page, you have no this privilege. > So the problem is 'can it be ?',then 'how to'. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Oct 1999 16:00:13 +0800 From: Joe Ji <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Ask the POP3 at http://www.mailpuupy.com ! This is a list of LISTSERV commands (including search commands and parameters) and can be retrieved by sending email as follows: To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [leave blank] Body: INFO REFCARD In it you will find the commands to change to and from digest versions.
