Subject: Off-line research service which emails results

>From the blurb:

http://karnak.com/ is an Internet research tool that confidentially saves
your queries and search results, works on finding more off-line, then e-mail
you the results. The site allows you to refine your research over time.
You'll never have to review the same site twice again! Its also got some
great custom search and reporting features. It works off-line, _e-mails_
results, is completely portable, and is FREE!

Various types of music and audio/video clips are
supposed to be "freely" available for ply/download on
the net in file formats like "ra", "mp3", "avi", "mpeg"
and so on.Could someone guide me to a place where I can
learn more about the file types as also the sources for
these players/songs/video ?

Does "freely" mean these are available without any
payment ?

May somebody ping services.msn.com for me and tell me it's IP address? I'm
off internet service right now and I want to know the IP address of that
host. Any help will be greatly appreciated. And, please, email me directly,
not to the mailing list because I'm currently not subscribed to it. Thank
you very much for your assistance.

www4mail is limited to a maximum of 6Mb and will not be changed
according to the developer.

So for files larger than 6Mb you must use gophermail, the bitftp mailer
at Princeton, or an ftpmail server that delivers by parts.

Examples, are given in all my web pages:

http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/1236/howto2.html
http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/1236/howto3.html

Servers are listed in:

These are some web page ping servers. You might try using www4mail. I
actually haven't done ping by email.

This is probably the best one for you to use:
