Hello accmailers ... A subscriber has reported that his posts to this list have not been moderated, and therefore have not been distributed.
His claim appears to be correct, and I believe the cause has been rectified. The underlying problem is spam. The amount of spam sent to the list is vast. We have been experimenting with the listserv configuration for years to try to control it. On the whole, we have been successful -- the listserv filters out *most* of it, but still the moderators get more than 1000 spam messages each week. The listserv also does much filtering that we cannot control. On some occasions in the past, posts from moderators have also disappeared. By the way, it is very rare for a post to be rejected by the moderators.
