+1 in favor of doing the work in ACE. There is a clear need in the lighting 
industry (but also others like window blinds) where low latency (human 
noticeable delay of around 200 ms) needs to be protected with an appropriate 
type of security. There are differences in opinion what current or near future 
hardware can support and we need to get more clarity on that (not just from one 
single vendor).
