In a Servlet Spec 2.4+ (maybe 2.3 too, but I think it's 2.4) container the tlds are hunted down by the container. You don't need to declare them in web.xml. I only brought it up to try and eliminate a TLD version to JAR version mismatch. I don't think it is the problem though.
Acegi 0.8.3 comes with Spring 1.2RC2 (We should look at distributing 1.2.3). Try downloading Spring 1.2.3 and replacing the contacts sample WEB-INF/lib/spring-1.2-RC2.jar with the 1.2.3 dist/lib/spring.jar from the Springframework 1.2.3 download. Does that help? This is a shot in the dark though, I'm hoping it helps. -Ray On 8/1/05, Marcelo Alcantara <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Thanks for the response guys. > > I checked the forum there and saw people mentioning this error, but > found no solution from their messages. > > The version I am using is the one that comes with spring 0.83. > > Can you try it there and see if it works?? > > And, by the way, how tomcat 5.5 find the tags if not by the tld > configuration in the web.xml?? > > On 8/1/05, Luke Taylor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi, > > > > There has already been a discussion on this in the forums (though I > > don't know if it was resolved): > > > > http://forum.springframework.org/viewtopic.php?t=7229&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=bindstatus+cannot+resolved++type > > > > You might also want to search the web in general as it's probably > > something that isn't specific to Spring/Acegi and there may be a > > solution in other discussion groups. > > > > Luke. > > > > Marcelo Alcantara wrote: > > > Hi Pascal, > > > > > > It is deployed on jboss 4.02 which has tomcat 5.5 inside... > > > > > > Any ideas?? > > > > > > On 8/1/05, Pascal Gehl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > > > -- > > Luke Taylor.
