So I tried removing the acer_wmi module but that didn't have any effect. Also installing ndiswrapper didn't change anything. Would I need to activate that somehow? (Kernel is 3.2.0-20-generic if that should be relevant) I have the feeling I am stuck at some very early stage as I cannot even see wireless connections, the kde networkmanager just lists my wired connection. So probably something rather basic is wrong here - any idea where I could have a look? As I said, everything worked fine in 11.10. Does anybody know some konsole magic to at least better figure out what the issue is? I unfortunately don't really know much about wireless chipsets and their configuration...
