Yes, this is a good question.  The real fix should be in BIOS.

But, the key point is we assume Windows work, and we expect linux work too.

So, we do need to avoid un-tested (by windows) BIOS code path. 
For this bug, maybe we didn't handle all cases to stop the execution of 
unnecessary AML methods/ code path.
