Hi,

I have some new info which may help.

I need first to explain that, additionally to this shutdown problem, i have a
bug with the driver (sky2) of my ethernet card (an onboard chip, Marvell 88E8053
Gigabit Ethernet Controller). The bug is already reported here:
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7647

The point is that, being bored by this ethernet problem, i recently bought a new
ethernet card (D-Link), and i disactivated the Marvel chip in the BIOS. From
that moment the shutdown problem seems to be solved oO.

Couldn't this shutdown problem be related to the problem with the ethernet
driver ? Not using the Marvel chip seems to solve the issue for me ...
