Ok, use of both patches fix crashes for me as well.

François, the three options are for the stack-overflowing part (4k stacks 
allow using less memory for kernel thread stacks and makes overflows happen 
earlier - kernel should be able to run properly with 4k stacks). The two debug 
options are there to detect when stack space is getting low and eventually 
provide some useful information before the stack grows over and kernel panics.
