[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEEDINFO |RESOLVED Resolution| |PATCH_ALREADY_AVAILABLE ------- Comment #24 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-01-09 05:34 ------- Len, Loading the video module (not thinkpad_acpi), makes changing the brightness setting work: echo 50/100 > /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video1/brightness makes that the brightness actually changes. I've tested this withh kernel 2.6.24-rc6 The thin that is NOT working, is acpi support for this item: Pressing the brightness buttons does yield the correct response (i.e. the correct and supported acpi event), but no actual brightness change occurs. I guess this an acpid issue? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
