------- Comment #9 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2008-11-24 15:10 ------- I've run aebisect, I've pasted below the output. Does the result make sense? [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/src/linux-2.6$ git bisect good 999ed65ad12e374d7445fbc13f5a1d146ae4b0da is first bad commit commit 999ed65ad12e374d7445fbc13f5a1d146ae4b0da Author: Rene Herman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Fri Jul 25 19:44:47 2008 -0700 pnp: have quirk_system_pci_resources() include io resources quirk_system_pci_resources() disables a PnP mem resource that overlaps a PCI BAR so as to not keep the PCI driver from claiming the resource. Have it do the same for io resources. Here, ACPI claims ports that overlap with my soundcard causing the soundcard driver to fail to load. It's unknown why my ACPI BIOS claims those ports; it did not use to but this is not a (kernel) regression. Some odd BIOS reconfig triggered by temporarily removing the card seems to have brought this on. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
