Well, I tried to reproduce the problem in a totally clean environment
(2.6.27.8, no binary-only modules). I then compiled the kernel with drm.ko and
radeon.ko and configured the X server to use the radeon driver.

The system survived two hibernate/resume cycles and then refused to suspend.
The dmesg buffer has been filled with stacktraces, so the only thing I can give
to you is something  cut from /var/log/messages. Please find it attached.

I'll try to reproduce the hang with this clean environment and with fglrx /
cisco_ipsec modules.
