(I can try over here with a livecd, but might have mixed results). As of now I can leave my machine on with the latest kernel to see if I get a storm triggered(wont shutdown, just s2ram if need be). Also with disabling hal, some distros have a hard time with this example:xserver is built with hal support. Justin P.
