BTW, don't confuse the lapic with the IO-APIC. It is true that usually when the
IO-APIC is disabled by the BIOS the lapic is also disabled too, which is why
Linux can reenable it, but it is not the same thing as enabling the IO-APIC,
which has to be done by the BIOS.
