So I download source package for debian kernel 2.6.30 and 2.6.31 and compiled
them with option ACPI_DEBUG on. I tested them with the kernel boot option you
gave me.

I ran some matlab code to load the CPU until it reached the 98C trip point. At
that point fan turns on and temperature goes down to 95C, then fans turns off
and temperature climbs up again to 98C, etc...

I attached the 2 dmesg output, and acpidump output.
