--- Comment #28 from Jaromír Cápík <[email protected]> 2010-03-24 10:53:43 --- yes ... if i set the minimum brightness in GRUB, then it stays at the low level on both computers ... the only difference is in initial /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness value .... HP Mini 5102 has the value initially always set to /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/max_brightness regardless of the current brightness (configured in GRUB) and next changes are relative to this brightness level (and since the /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness is set to the maximum value, the brightness could be only decreased ... even if it is not at it's maximum .... and can be decreased much more than it is allowed in GRUB) .... it's difficult to explain that ... and unfortunately it is not possible to record the behavior because of automatic exposition control in my camera ... I could try that with some lights around my laptop + tripod ... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
