Today after some shutdowns I noticed sth. interesting.

Adding thermal.nocrt=1 to my modules configuration made the system shutting
down after 1-2 seconds of high fan noise without going backwards in the run
level. It simply turns of. After restart the fan turns at high speed until some
of the kernel parts are loaded. 
I tried to exhaust the system with furmark and linpack in windows, yet there
the error doesn't appear. The Graphic card too is indifferent to temps around 
90°C under heavy load. 
So I ask myself if it is possible that some bogus value is read or written, the
bios spins the fans up and shuts down the pc as it sees a wrong temp. Yet this
value seems to be retained during a shutdown-restart cycle. It that possible?
