--- Comment #13 from Ali Gholami Rudi <aliqr...@gmail.com> 2010-10-22 05:34:16 --- Not having windows to update the bios, I decided to pass thermal.off=1 to the kernel and manage fan speed manually. So I don't know if it is fixed or not. I'll retry using ACPI in a few days. By the way, switching to x86 (I used to use a 64-bit kernel) did fix one of my problems (I'm afraid I don't remember what it was exactly, maybe something related to the screen backlight), so it may be the bios misbahaving in a 64-bit kernel. But we'll see. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nokia and AT&T present the 2010 Calling All Innovators-North America contest Create new apps & games for the Nokia N8 for consumers in U.S. and Canada $10 million total in prizes - $4M cash, 500 devices, nearly $6M in marketing Develop with Nokia Qt SDK, Web Runtime, or Java and Publish to Ovi Store http://p.sf.net/sfu/nokia-dev2dev _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
