Stefan Vogel <s...@exept.de> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |s...@exept.de --- Comment #47 from Stefan Vogel <s...@exept.de> 2011-02-06 15:27:04 --- I have the same problem here with my Asus V1Sn/T7700 CPU and an 2.6.34.7 kernel (OpenSuSe). Apparently the EC returns the wrong temperature. Some time ago, I had the problem, that the EC always returned a temperature much to high and the fan was blowing very loud, although the sensors showed a lower temperature. After several weeks I found out that you can reset the EC by removing the power/laptop battery for 5 minutes. After this the EC temperature was correct. The problem with the notebook shutting down occasionally because it thinks that the temperature is 127C (which it is not) remains unfortunately. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
