I have the same problem on a Toshiba Tecra and on an Asus mainboard. The result
is that iTCO_wdt is no longer loaded. If I load it manually, /dev/watchdog is
not created and thus the watchdog doesn't work.

Contrary to the bug details above, this is a regression.
