I accidentaly discovered (after always using hibernation instead of sleep) that, with kernel 3.13, my notebook is able to come back from sleep. I suspect that this may have been fixed between, say, kernels 3.7 and 3.13, but I don't actually know what was the commit that fixed the problem. Would it be of interest to know which commit fixed the problems that I had? If so, I think that I can spend a few hours compiling kernels and rebooting things.
