I've also test booted with the following acpi related strings on the kernel
command line (double quotes as this was done in rEFInd):

acpi_os_name=""Windows 2013"" acpi_osi=""Windows 2013""
acpi_os_name=""Windows 2013"" acpi_osi=!* acpi_osi=! acpi_osi=""Windows 2013""
acpi_os_name=Linux acpi_osi=Linux
acpi_osi=""!Windows 2013"" acpi_osi=""!Windows 2012""
acpi_osi=
acpi_os_name=Linux acpi_osi= 
acpi_os_name=""Windows 2012"" acpi_osi=""Windows 2012""

None of these made any apparent difference, but I am happy to continue to test
these and or other variations.
