I'm using a MacBook Pro mid 2014, which shares the same model number as yours. After upgrading to OS X Yosemite DM2, the kworker process throttles one of the cores. And the gpe66 is the problem. I tried to revert the kernel back to 3.16.1 but the problem still exists.
