Bug ID: 199201 Summary: Since kernel change desktop does not awake from sleep Product: ACPI Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 4.13.0-37 Hardware: Intel OS: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: Power-Sleep-Wake Assignee: acpi_power-sleep-w...@kernel-bugs.osdl.org Reporter: bal...@jbm.hu Regression: No Created attachment 274925 --> https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment.cgi?id=274925&action=edit terminal commands inxi -Fxz, lspci, dmesg My desktop does not awake from sleep (suspend), since I changed kernel to 4.13.0-36 (and now to 4.13.0-37)from 4.8.0-53. The screen remains black, and does not answer any keyboard or mouse action and I have to force stop the laptop to restart. If I switch back to the kernel 4.8 the sleep/awake behavior will work perfectly again. I have changed my kernel as I was advised by the article 'Security notice: Meltdown and Spectre' (https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3496). OS: LxMint 18.3/Cinnamon 3.6.7+sylvia / 64-bit / Kernel~4.13.0-36-generic x86_64 HW: Aspire V3-372_104C_1.02 / CPU~Dual core Intel Core i5-6200U (-HT-MCP-) Speed/max~2400/2800 MHz Mem 7883.7MB SSD~500.1GB / Intel HD graphics 520 More details are in the text attachment below. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching the assignee of the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ acpi-bugzilla mailing list acpi-bugzilla@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-bugzilla
