It might not boot first try, but when it finally does, it works. Though safe boot and installation media crash often. My guess is there is indeed a driver fixing some issue. That's speculation, but i was told by other people with ASUS laptops that this is "unstable low powered state" thanks to some motherboard fault. Since i'm not the only one with such an issue, my guess is that it's indeed an inherent hardware issue. I'll try idle=poll and some other parametres i was recommended and write off the result. I still have a hard time imagining how a driver can fix such an issue without any trade off... -- You may reply to this email to add a comment.
