Well, I own a M6727NEUH and I never had any problem with the DSDT - so
why suddenly should there a problem? The problem appeared with the
2.6.20-kernels when something had changed in the acpi-handling. But I
will give the linux acpi mailing list a try.

I think it's a poor solution because under Linux 2.6.19.2 the WLAN-led
went on when I started the WLAN. Now it appears even if the WLAN is
down. And indeed it's a poor solution when I have to fix something by
hand that once worked automatically.
acpid and acpi-support are both installed, but didn't help. What I'm
looking for is this "asus_acpid" the manual is talking about. I can't
get it with Aptitude and as far as I can see, it's not included in the
kernel-module asus-laptop.

Sorry, but the new acpi-policy appears to me not as one but two or three
steps back.

Greetings, Axel;-)
