I have spent hours trying to correct the following script and Googling
to find the answer, so I now think that I am justified in asking the
experts!

set fs=Server.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")

set f=fs.CreateTextFile(filename,true)

set f=nothing

set f=fs.openTextFile(filename,8, True, 0)

            f.write sometext

set f=nothing

The error message that I am getting is:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error- Error '800a0005'

Invalid procedure call or argument

/indexproc.asp, line 249

line 249 is :

            f.write sometext

sometext is sometimes very long. Also I am doing this action with many
different sometext within the same script. Another thought, is that
sometext may display a letter which is causing this error.

Anyone come across something like this before?

Thanks,

Ben
