This is what I understood you to recommend at the Summit.
As a general case, never! I have consistently said all along something like this:
- The 4D web server is good for most cases, since it is the fastest and easiest to configure.
- IF you MUST allow file uploads, AND you are worried about the possibility of someone crashing the server by uploading a very large file, AND 4D has not yet provided a way to limit the request size (which as of last Summit was not yet possible but now is), THEN you may want to consider an alternative.
- IF you MUST use 4D Client as the web server, THEN until 4D comes out with that capability you will have to use an alternative.
Do you remember me saying something radically different from that? If what I said came across in a different way then I did a very bad job of communicating.
