configured system) ?

No way! You actually would suspect Active4D before WINDOWS?

Seems to me the admin found and fixed the problem. It had everything to do with the network configuration.

therefore ultimately "strangle" 4D Server ?

Nope. Active4D doesn't deal directly with TCP/IP. It just gets a hunk of text (the request) and returns a hunk of bytes in response. No networking involved.
