So I guess I have to 'let go' of Netlink and get with the proper way of doing things! :-)

To satisfy my need to make the info more readable I could do something like

"First_Name,Last_Name,-,Phone_Number,Address,-COMMENTS,Comments"

Dashes would tell the database to insert a dashed line across the email, dash and text would be a line and a title... everything else are the fields, or something like that.

Thanks again Brad & Aparajita for the help.

I'm not sure if the relevant RFC's covered this. When I used Netlink, it kept the incoming fields in the form order. I could do things like have hidden data fields (between logical blocks of information) that contained lines "---------------" or hidden fields that had titles for a section, this would visually help organize the information in the email, making it easier for the end user to read the data.

Thanks for the idea.

Glad to help. Interestingly, I made the comment about form field order from Netlink experience too. It was many years ago but I recall running into a situation where I assumed field order and it broke. It worked in almost all cases but one browser did'nt. My workaround was to specify the order as suggested.

best,

Brad
