Last I remember, running A4D on client had been more reliable for you. Has that been the case?
Yep. No more hangs or crashes since moving to web client. I'm a little disappointed, though. I was hoping to isolate the problem so that I could identify it. Now, I don't know what caused it - it just went away (for $900).
You have isolated the problem somewhat, it's just a matter of figuring out what changed. I assume this means neither the client nor the server is hanging or crashing. The main thing that has changed is that the bulk of the database engine is now on a different machine than the web server.
My instincts tell me that it has something to do either with triggers or with some other stored procedure on the server. I have a client in Boston who was having hangs of the server and it turned out to be a locked record problem that caused a deadlock in a trigger.
What about the crash logs from the server? You never sent them to me.
