YEE-HAW!
I Just found it.
It's a preference on the File Types / Editors page. There's a whole list of files to
Open in Code View:
Apparently it's more aptly named as:
Open in Code View (and never allow Design view):Whew!
Now I can resume my cool stuff!
Thanks, guys. As usual, giving up and asking for help opens up all kinds of new doors. :-)

Hi All,
Dreamweaver can be configured to edit Active4D files. The configuration documention can be downloaded at http://www.aparajitaworld.com/site/products/Active4D/downloads/ latest/index.html.
I need a little additional help on this, I think.
I'm finally back to doing a some significant web work, and I'm trying to use DreamWeaver MX 2004 to create new Active4D pages.
I've downloaded the DreamWeaver integration stuff found at the above link (thanks Brad Perkins), and have installed it (and re-installed a couple times), but am having limited success.
The problem, I think, is that the .a4d and .a4p extensions might not be getting recognized.
The biggest advantage for me to Dreamweaver is being able to use the Code & Design view.
However, if the file name has the .a4D extension, I only get the Code view.
I can't get to the 'Split' view or the 'Design' view.
I can do generally get to them if I rename the file with a .html extension. But not always, it appears.
After doing this successfully all day, and simply doing a 'save as' to a .a4d extension when I'm ready to test, I quit Dreamweaver for dinner, came back and deleted my (formerly) working .html file, then renamed my .a4d file to .html, opened it in DreamWeaver, and now I'm back to the Code view only limitation.
I've got to be missing something, but I just can't see it.
It's cost me 45 minutes so far trying to figure this out. Time is precious tonight.
Any suggestions?
TIA, Randy
