Not strange, right now, there is no dynamic content. Lots of plans to add
stuff. A4d is installed to leverage future enhancements.

You are making some incorrect assumptions. First, I did run a test system,
but at a different ip. I expected a4d to time out in my test system, as the
license file is tied to the production ip. Once I moved the system (yes, my
database does work correctly) into production, I noticed a4d timing out
unexpectedly. This should not happen.

Second, this was not a problem with my database working correctly, it was/is
a problem with the a4d license file. Replacing the old license file with
the new one seems to have solved the problem. I don't understand why, as,
to my understanding of the license, it should never stop working as long as
I am using the same version of a4d. I am using the same version of a4d,
3.0, as I was with 4D 2003.x. It's interesting that as soon as I renewed my
support, got a new license file and installed it, the problem magically
disappeared.
