The two I added were:
.CAB CAB SIT! application/activex
.JAR TEXT CWIE application/octet-stream
Perhaps you could add these too the default ExtensionMap.ini file
so others don't have the small amount of pain I had, unless of
course you had a good reason why you didn't add these, if so I'd
like to hear it.
.JAR I don't mind adding. I really do mind adding ActiveX, because it
is a security hole the size of the Milky Way and it is not cross-
platform. Thanks to Win IE and ActiveX (among other egregious
Microsoft security holes), there are millions of computers out there
at this very moment that are under the control of hackers. So I don't
want to encourage its use.
If someone insists on using ActiveX, they can add the entry themselves.
