Howdy,
I almost forgot to mention one of the greatest new features of v4,
one that you have all been crying for: full syntax hilighting in an
editor.
I have implemented full syntax hilighting for jEdit, a cross-platform
programmers editor. It's one of the better all-around editors out
there, regardless of platform. I like it more than BBEdit.
Be sure to check it out. You can get the jEdit configuration files
from the Active4D download page.
