There is a new WebSTAR security update available.
General
- This combined security update is free to any customer with a 4D WebSTAR
V license, even if the license is no longer valid for updates. However, to
receive technical support, you must have a current license.
- This is not a complete installer, so many components are still
versioned as 5.3.3 or 5.3.4.
Of interest to A4D users that use Rewrite to proxy from WebSTAR is this
blurb from the fix list.
WebSTAR Rewrite Plug-in
- Proxy rules now return a 504 (Gateway Timeout) error if the back-end
server is unreachable. If a custom 504.* (e.g. 504.html) page exists in
your errors folder, it will be served in these cases.
- Proxy rules are now compatible with POST method forms on Microsoft IIS
and other target servers that use the interim 100 Continue response.
I haven't had a chance to install this update yet, but having the rule
return the 504 error is a fix to a long standing but I reported. I'm glad
to finally see this. Thanks!
