Hi,

Thank you for the explanation.

So I´m rather new to web applications, what is the best way to deal
with cookies not enabled? Build special URLs or something else?

The easiest way is to require the user's browser to have them enabled. If the user is concerned about privacy issues, have a page that explains why you require cookies and what data you store in them. Most modern browsers have controls that can restrict cookies to trusted sites. If they aren't using one of these browsers suggest that they do (for many other reasons than just this).

You can pass the session id in your URLs. Some disadvantages to this are:

(1) You must ensure the session is in every URL. Forget it in one place, your app loses track of the session, and problem occur. I believe the A4D docs provide help on this. (2) If used directly, this openly exposes the session ID. A malicious person could use this ID to possibly gain access to your site and hijack a session.

I get a error with following code.

c_date($datum)
$datum:=get session("selWoche")

The last ) is red, active 4D says argument types not compatible

On mac it runs like a charm.
This is only on windows on IE

Active4D runs on the server, so the _only_ reason this could be
happening is because IE has cookies turned off, which means the
session is getting lost.

By the way, the preferred syntax for setting/getting session
variables is to index the session variable directly, for example
session{"selWoche"}. The same thing goes for all other collections
(_form{"field"} instead of get form variable, _query{"var"} instead
of get query param, etc).
