The documentation for the release version of Active4D 4.0.0 says there is a change in the startup setting for the web server:
"Web server preference In this version, the web server should be turned OFF by default. The shell will turn the web server on as needed during startup. To turn the web server off, follow these steps: 1. Open your database. 2. Open the 4D Preferences dialog and select the Web pane. 3. Uncheck "Publish Database at Startup". 4. Click OK and restart 4D." Doesn't this mean that the "temporary root session" that 4D 2004 uses to allow the web server to use ports 80 and 443 no longer works? My experience so far is that it is not possible to run the web server using the "temporary root session".
