The documentation for the release version of Active4D 4.0.0 says there is a
change in the startup setting for the web server:

"Web server preference
In this version, the web server should be turned OFF by default.

Doesn't this mean that the "temporary root session" that 4D 2004 uses to
allow the web server to use ports 80 and 443 no longer works?

You are correct, I hadn't taken that into consideration. My point it making that change was to ensure no web requests came in before Active4D was fully initialized. Obviously I will have to use some other technique.

Please add this to the issuetracker (tracker.aparajitaworld.com/ tracker).
